Karma's Futher Animal Adventures

Image
As karma would have it one of my co-workers was an animal lover usually rescuing all sort of furry woodland creatures. Seems as though during one of these rescues a couple of the animals came to live at the office for a while. 2 Birds and a Guinea pig we dubbed Ralphie we loved giving Ralphie veggies and such from our lunch bags he would squeak a happy squeak when you approached his cage. The 2 birds on the other hand , were a different matter as much as I tried to like them I just couldn't they pooped all over the place, and also when I stuck my hand in the cage they tried to peck at it. I guess I can't really blame them since before they came to "visit" the office they were once mascots of a first grade classroom so they may have had a little PTKD, Post Traumatic Kid Disorder. As karma would have it , or should I say since no one else would do it.  I was left to clean out the cages call me crazy but every one furry or otherwise should have a clean and tidy...

Karma and the blustery day...

As karma would have it hubs and I decided that we needed to do a little "home repair" such begins my adventure. Early in our marriage hubs and I think we can do any home repairs our self, so on  particular blustery day hubs sends to the next town to a big box hardware type store in order to purchase some panelling to hang in our happy home. As I hit the highway to pick up our items for our little home improvement project I hear the wind howling, and my little white truck seems to shiver at the thought of such strong winds. I make a mental note to be sure and add extra rope to my list of items. I arrive at my destination and make my way list in hand into the big box hardware type store I grab a cart and begin to pick up the items I need as I make my way to the back of the store I notice a lack of employees compared to the front of the store which seems to be overrun with employees I arrive at the panelling section and notice several type/styles/varieties to choose from I f...

Karma's and a day at the races

As Karma would have it even when I try to take a day and get away karma somehow finds a way to follow me. When hubs and I first started to date we decided that we needed a weekend to go somewhere and have some fun, We asked dear old dad and my sis -K- to join us. So off we went to play the ponies at Hot Springs,Arkansas. We packed up the car got up early and hit the road. It is about a 3 or 4 hour drive from where we live so we got up in plenty of time to make the first race. Things seemed to be going smoothly until my car begin to make a knocking noise and slowly spurted to a stop.  We all piled out of the car raised the hood to take a look. Nothing seemed out of the to be awry, We tried to crank the car once more. Dear old dad listened to the engine as it rattle and banged and announced that his diagnosis was that we seemed to have a rod knocking. Thus making us unable to drive the car to our destination. We also seem to be in a very unpopulated area we were not eve...

Karma and Things that go bump in the night.

As Karma would have it not only has she a bit fickle in my own life but in the lives of those around me. ... It seems as if the closer the relation the more fickle she is. As Karma would have it When My baby sis the youngest of us three was newly married, and with a new babe she and her hubs lived in a rented apartment. The apartment being rented from baby sis's grandmother-in-law. It was a big place sort of cozy and just right for newly married couple. Grandmaw-in-law also had her own apartment in this place. Nice and cozy right? That is until one summer night when at the end of a long day baby sis,her hubs and the tiny babe cuddled up in the bed for a long nights rest. As baby sis drifted off to sleep she heard a rustling and thumping on the other side of their humble abode. Baby sis thought to herself" Maybe we have a mouse problem, I must tell hubs to get some traps." This noise was then followed by squeaks, squeals louder than any mouse she had ever heard before. ...
