Karma and the blustery day...

As karma would have it hubs and I decided that we needed to do a little "home repair" such begins my adventure.

Early in our marriage hubs and I think we can do any home repairs our self, so on  particular blustery day hubs sends to the next town to a big box hardware type store in order to purchase some panelling to hang in our happy home.
As I hit the highway to pick up our items for our little home improvement project I hear the wind howling, and my little white truck seems to shiver at the thought of such strong winds. I make a mental note to be sure and add extra rope to my list of items.
I arrive at my destination and make my way list in hand into the big box hardware type store I grab a cart and begin to pick up the items I need as I make my way to the back of the store I notice a lack of employees compared to the front of the store which seems to be overrun with employees I arrive at the panelling section and notice several type/styles/varieties to choose from I finally decide which ones I wanted.
I reach over and try to pull the first sheet of panelling off a large stack,I tug and pull and groan and strain to no avail. I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I decide I need help when I look around the store seems to have become abandoned no a soul in site is to be seen. I wait , and wait I pace up and down aisle to look for an employee.
I decide the best why to approach this matter is to make my what back to the front of the store where they seem to be more employees located. As I make my way toward the front I spot an employee I quickly flag him down and ask for assistance he tell me "Sorry not my department." and continues on. I speed up my walk to the front and wait in line at the service desk when my turn comes up I tell the girl behind the counter what I need she tells me to go back to the area I need help in and she will call someone to come and help me. So I make the trek back to the back of the store.
I wait and wait some more when I hear over the store PA system for a worker to assist someone in the panelling area. Hooray that is me I think when a employee steps around the corner guess who it is? Mr. that is not my department himself . I tell him what I need he disappears only to come back quickly rolling a much larger cart and 1,2,3 he loads up the cart quickly and says "Okay, you can roll this to the front to check out." I just looked at him as if to say you have to be kidding me. Then I say " Are you kidding my." That thing is heavy,Can I get someone to load it up for me?"
Mr. That is not my department says" No,Sorry we only load washers, dryers and such." So I heave and ho and push, pull and tug after running into several displays (I worked in a store I know how to push a cart but said cart was cumbersome, bulky and seemed to have 4 wheels that each wanted to go separate ways.)
After what seemed like a life time I was at the front of the store where I quickly got checked out and heaved, and hoed and pushed ,pulled, and tugged my way out to my truck. The wind seemed to have picked up even more since I first entered the store. I thought okay I can do this I grab the first piece of panelling, get a firm grip on it and go to slide into the back of the truck when before I knew it the wind picked up even more I soon found myself much like piglet in Winnie the pooh and the blustery day I seemed to have become  a little airborne the wind had blown against the panelling I had in my arms ( oh wait I forget the panelling was six feet tall and about 4 feet wide.) thus making me into somewhat of a human kite it blew me back a few feet. I made my way back to the truck where I tried again only to be blown back again.
I look over at the car next to me where a very big, and I do mean big as in sumo wrestler size guy seem to be laughing at my antics.I try a different approach by moving the cart closer to the truck so I can just grab a piece of the panelling and wrestle it into the back of truck. But karma was not having that,it seemed like each time I tried to get the panelling into the truck not matter which approach I used the results were all the same. Me+panelling+wind=me getting blown about the parking lot.
I guess sumo wrestler guy felt sorry for me because he stepped out of his car and said in a deep Darth Vader like voice "May I be of some assistance ma'am?" I look up,up, way up at him and say "Sure, I could use a little help." He grabs the panelling like it a couple of saltine crackers and puts them in the back of the truck he does this a couple more time and then ask if I have some rope in which to secure the panelling. I hand him my rope and he quickly ties everything down and says in his very deep voice " There you go ma'am,  have a nice day. " and makes his way back to his car. I call out to him asking him "Do I owe you anything." He smiles and says " No , Not a thing glad I could be of some help." When I arrived back home ,as hubs was unloading the truck he asked"So,did you have any trouble getting everything loaded into the truck?"
